THE CHARACTERISTIC OF HIGHER EDUCATION ADMINISTRATORS AFFECTING DEDICATION TO WORK OF EDUCATIONAL PERSONNEL IN THAILAND 4.0 ERA

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) study on the level of the characteristics of higher education administrators in Thailand 4.0 Era; 2) study on the level of the dedication to work of educational personnel in Thailand 4.0 Era and 3) find the correlation between the characteristics of higher education administrators and the dedication to work of educational personnel, create a predictive equation of the dedication to work and determine the high competency executive characteristics in Thailand 4.0 Era. The mixed research methodology was used with a study population as teachers and personnel in higher education institutions in Thailand. The quantitative research instrument was a 5level–rating scale questionnaire and qualitative research used interview guide. The statistical techniques employed for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation and stepwise multiple regression analysis using the statistic package for social science program. Also, used content analysis for qualitative data.


The results of research showed that: 1) the level of the characteristics of higher education administrators in Thailand 4.0 Era was at a high as level; 2) the level of the dedication to work of educational personnel in Thailand 4.0 Era was at a high as level and 3) the relationship between the characteristics of higher education administrators and the dedication to work of educational personnel in Thailand 4.0 Era was moderate in positive relationship. Predictive equations that influence the work devotion of educational personnel include characteristics of administrators of higher education institutions in honesty, self-sacrifice, and dedication to modern academic leadership skills and in terms of professional leadership competencies. The results of the research can be used to develop the characteristics of the administrators of higher education institutions to create quality professional higher education administrators according to the professional development plan of the nation.
