FACTORS AFFECTING ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING HAPPINESS, FACULTY OF EDUCATION, VALAYA ALONGKORN RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY UNDER THE ROYAL PATRONAGE

Abstract

 


The purpose of this research article were to: 1) study correlation between characteristics of student, characteristics of lecturer, environment media and facility, friend and supporter, family support and learning happiness, 2) study of factors affecting on students' learning happiness, faculty of education, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage, and 3) construct the predicted equation of the learning happiness of students. Samples were 1,200 students randomized by multi-stage random sampling. Research instrument was a 5-point scale with Cronbach’s alpha reliability of 0.95. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics methods including frequency, percentage, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The research findings were as follows: 1) The relations between 5 factors affected towards learning happiness; characteristics of student, characteristics of lecturer, environment media and facility, friend and supporter, and family support were positive direction with significance at the .01 level, correlation coefficient ranged from 0.30 to 0.67. 2) The factors on the influence of characteristics of student, and friend and supporter were affected the learning happiness of the students, statistically significance at the level of .05, which were a prediction of 48%. 3) The predicted equation of the learning happiness of students were follows: 1) in term of raw scores were: Yˆ = 1.311 + 0.452X1 + 0.180X4,  2)  in term of standard scores were: Z = 0.554ZX1 + 0.220ZX4
