The Instructional Model to Enhance Critical on Reading, Writing and Self-Regulation Learning in English of Mathayomsuksa 3 Students

Abstract
This research aims to 1) study the current condition, problems and needs for an instructional model to enhance critical reading, writing and self-regulation learning in English of Mathayomsuksa 3 students, 2) develop an instructional model and 3) try out for an instructional model. The informants by interview were 14 teachers, obtained by Purposive Sampling and 20 students of mixed abilities were obtained by Simple Random Sampling. Six types of data collection tools. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation and content analysis.
The results showed that;
1) Most of the teachers did not organize their learning activities according to the correct steps for teaching English reading and writing skills, lack of active learning activities and they also saw that the students lacked self-regulation.
2) The results of the development of an instructional model drafting consisted of 6 components and 9 steps of learning.
3) The results of finding the quality of the tools found that an instructional model drafting has a high level of overall consistency; the mean is 4.46 (S.D. = 0.69).
