The Development of Analytical Thinking Ability and Learning Achievement on Subject Titled Science for Industrial Technician Career Development of the 3rd Year Vocational Certificate Students Using a 7-step Learning Cycle Management (7E)

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were: 1) to develop the analytical thinking ability of the 3rd year vocational certificate students using the 7-step learning cycle management (7E) to have an average score of more than 70% and more than 70% of total students passed the criteria, 2) to develop learning achievement of 3rd year vocational certificate students to have an average score of more than 70% and more than 70% of total students passed the criteria. The target group consisted of 15 3rd year vocational certificate students, Khon Kaen Vocational College, 2nd semester of the academic year 2021, obtained by means of purposive sampling. The research tools consisted of 2 types: 1. Experimental tool including 7-step learning cycle earning management plan with 6 plans, 12 hours. 2 Data collection tool including 1) multiple-choice of analytical thinking ability test with 4 choices, 20 items, 2) multiple-choice of learning achievement test with 4 choices, 30 items. The statistics used in data analysis comprised mean, standard deviation, and percentage.
          The research results were found that:
          1. The 3rd year vocational certificate students had an average score on analytical thinking ability of 15.00 points out of a full score of 20, or 75%, and 12 students passed the criteria of 70% of total students.
          2. The 3rd year vocational certificate students had an average score on learning achievement of 23.73 out of a full score of 30, or 79.11%, and 12 students passed the criteria of 70% of total students.
