The Development of Practice of International Music (Wind Instruments of Marching Bands) by Applying the Concepts of DalCroze, Orff and Kodaly, in Order to Enhance the Skill of Performing Universal Instruments for Mathayomsuksa 1 Students at Nongnoprachasan School

Abstract

          This study has objectives to (1) study basic data  and want of skill development, (2) development and find the effectiveness of the skill training exercises to be effective according to the criteria, (3) try a skill exercise and (4) an evaluate and improve the skill exercises. The samples used in this research were 16 students in Matthayomsuksa 1, Nongno Prachasan School, using purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of questionnaires (IOC =1.00), interview form, skill training, learning management plan, achievement test, international instrument practice, skills assessment form, students opinion questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were Percentage, Mean, Standard deviation, and test the statistical hypothesis t-test.
          The results of research revealed that;-
          1. Students and teachers want of skill training to have a variety of activities. It helps learning fun. It has attractive design and content. There is training from easy to difficult.
          2. There are 5 sets of skill exercises: 1) fundamentals of marching bands 2) Rhythm and pitch 3) basic instrument practice 4) music symbols 5) instrument practice using international musical notation with efficiency equal to 81.48/82.36 which is in accordance with the established 80/80 standard.
          3. The results of the skill training experiment showed that the students were interested. Active in activities, students learned more about the fundamental elements of music and be able to practice international instrument practice skills according to the concept of the skill exercises with a feeling of easy and fun.
          4. The students who studied with the skill training exercise had a statistically significant post-study achievement of the .05 level before. The results of assessment, the skills of the international instrument practice after studying at a high skill level. The results of study opinions of students towards the skill practice. In the overall aspect, it was at the level that agreed the most.
