Thai Television Dramas for the Filipinos Under the framework of A Grounded Theory of ASEAN Common Denominator Cultures

Abstract

This article aims to present the guidelines for creating Thai television dramas for the Filipinos under the framework of ‘A Grounded Theory of ASEAN Common Denominator Cultures’. Conducted a survey of the 394 Filipinos, The research found that the Filipinos are mainly accepting television dramas on television channel and read the synopsis on the internet. The content should be about Thai education and Thai food, with some sensitive issues. The drama should have exquisite artistic elements and good-looking actors. The filming location should present ancient Thai temples and palaces.
