Abstract

The purpose of this research were to 1) compare the learning achievement of Mathayomsuksa 1 students in Reading for Personal Development before and after learning using SQ4R method. and, 2) study learning reading comprehension skills of Mathayomsuksa 1 students learned with the SQ4R Learning. The sample group used in Mathayomsuksa 1 students, The second semester of the academic year 2019 at RattanakosinSomphotladkrabang School by a cluster sampling. The research instruments include:1) The management plan using the SQ4R method, 2) An achievement test with the SQ4R Learning, 3) and assessment reading Comprehension with the SQ4R Learning Skills. The research results revealed that: 1) The achievement in Reading for Personal Development of Mathayomsuksa 1 students after learning through SQ4R learning management higher than before the studying with the statistical significance of .05 and 2) The reading comprehension skills of Mathayomsuksa 1 students who studied with the SQ4R learning activity set were at a high level.
