Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal website through the ThaiJO (TCI) system. All communications will be conducted exclusively through the ThaiJO system (Discussion Board), with email notifications sent to the corresponding author. Please regularly check your email, including your spam or junk mail folder.
  • I have complied with the editorial requirements by submitting: 1) The manuscript (.doc/.docx format) 2) The manuscript submission form 3) Verification of the manuscript format 4) Verification of the accuracy of in-text citations and the reference list and 5) A Human Research Ethics Approval Certificate (if applicable)
  • I hereby certify that the manuscript has been formatted in accordance with the journal’s requirements. If the manuscript does not comply with the journal’s prescribed guidelines, I consent to the journal’s decision to decline the manuscript for publication.
  • I hereby certify that the names of the author and co-authors are accurate and reflect the actual contributors to this work, and that all listed individuals have made a substantive intellectual contribution to the manuscript.
  • I hereby declare that this manuscript has not been previously published, in whole or in part, and is not currently under consideration for publication in any other journal. Furthermore, the research has been duly reviewed and approved for conduct by the author’s affiliated institution or educational institution.
  • I accept full responsibility for the content presented in this manuscript. In the event of any legal claim or dispute concerning copyright infringement related to any part of the content herein, the author and co-authors shall bear sole responsibility.
  • I consent to the Editorial Board’s discretion in independently selecting qualified peer reviewers to evaluate the manuscript submitted by me (and my co-authors). I also grant the Editorial Board the authority to make editorial revisions to the manuscript as deemed appropriate.
  • In cases where the submitted work involves research or experimental procedures conducted on human participants or animal subjects—particularly where studies involving human participants may potentially affect their dignity, rights, safety, or well-being—authors are required to submit an official approval certificate issued by a duly recognized Human or Animal Research Ethics Committee.

    The decision to approve the manuscript for publication rests solely with the Editorial Board, whose determination shall be final.
  • There is no publication fee.

Author Guidelines

Publication Policy

            Journal of Library and Information Science Srinakharinwirot University is published by the Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University. It is a biannual academic journal, issuing two numbers per year: Issue 1 (January–June) and Issue 2 (July–December). The journal aims to support faculty members, librarians, undergraduate and graduate students, civil servants, and researchers/scholars in disseminating academic works in the fields of Library and Information Science, Information Studies, Information Technology, Educational Technology and Innovation, and other related areas of information studies. Manuscripts are accepted in both Thai and English.

Peer Review Process

The journal employs a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed. Each manuscript is reviewed by three qualified external reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript. Reviewers are affiliated with diverse institutions and are not from the same institution as the author(s). Editorial decisions are based on reviewers’ recommendations and academic standards.

Plagiarism Screening Policy

            All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software prior to peer review. Manuscripts with plagiarism, excessive similarity, or improper citation will be rejected or returned for revision, depending on severity.

 Publication Ethics

            The journal adheres to high standards of publication ethics. Authors must ensure originality and confirm that manuscripts have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Academic misconduct is not tolerated.

 Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, originality, proper citation, and disclosure of any conflicts of interest.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers must conduct evaluations objectively, confidentially, and disclose any conflicts of interest.

 Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for publication decisions based on academic merit, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

 Author Eligibility and Submission Criteria

  1. Authors may submit manuscripts for consideration throughout the year or during the submission periods specified by the journal via the online journal system.
  2. The journal accepts Academic Articles, Research Articles, and Book Reviews.
  3. Only manuscripts that strictly comply with the journal’s submission guidelines and requirements will be considered for review.
  4. All manuscripts undergo academic peer review by three experts in relevant fields through a double-blind peer review process and must be approved by the editorial board.
  5. Authors must certify that the manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration elsewhere. Once published, the manuscript may not be republished. Authors agree that the editorial board may make editorial revisions for clarity and consistency prior to publication.
  6. For studies involving human participants or animals, authors must submit ethical approval from the relevant ethics committee. Final publication approval rests with the editorial board.

Copyright of articles published in the Journal of Library and Information Science Srinakharinwirot University is jointly held by the authors and the Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University. All articles are peer reviewed. The views expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect those of the editorial board or the Faculty. The journal permits academic use and redistribution with proper citation in accordance with copyright laws.

Research Articles

    Research Article refers to a report of research findings, with a maximum length of 15 A4 pages, consisting of the following components:

  1. Title in Thai and English
  2. Author name(s) in Thai and English
  3. Abstract in Thai and English. The abstract must concisely summarize the essential elements of the study, particularly the research objectives, sample group, research methodology and/or instruments, and conclusions in a single paragraph. The Thai abstract must not exceed 12 lines, and the English abstract must not exceed 12 lines. Both versions must convey identical meaning, be grammatically accurate, contain no citations, and include 3–5 keywords that correspond to the content in both Thai and English.
  4. Introduction: presenting the significance of the research problem.
  5. Research Objectives: stating the objectives and issues of the study.
  6. Research Methodology, comprising:
    1) Research design
        2) Scope of the study
        3) Research hypotheses
        4) Population and sample (including the formula used for calculating sample size)
        5) Research instruments and procedures for validating instrument quality
        6) Data collection and data analysis
  7. Results: presenting findings primarily in response to the research objectives.
  8. Discussion: discussing the findings in relation to research theories and previous studies, or addressing findings that may differ from established theories or prior research.
  9. Recommendations or Applications: presenting findings that can be applied in practice, whether broadly or within specific contexts, or providing recommendations for future research.
  10. References: References must follow the APA (7th edition) citation style and be written in English.

 

Academic Articles

    An Academic Article (or Review Article) refers to a scholarly article that presents newly synthesized knowledge and provides the author’s analytical perspectives or recommendations. The manuscript must not exceed 15 A4 pages and consist of the following components:

  1. Title
  2. Author name(s)
  3. Abstract in Thai and English
  4. Introduction
  5. Main Content
  6. Conclusion
  7. References: References must follow the APA (7th edition) citation style and be written in English.

Academic Article refers to a scholarly article or review article that presents newly synthesized knowledge and includes the author’s additional analysis, opinions, or recommendations. The manuscript must not exceed 15 A4 pages and shall consist of the following components:

  2. Author name(s)
  3. Abstract in Thai and English
  4. Introduction
  5. Main Content
  6. Conclusion
  7. References: References must follow the APA (7th edition) citation style and must be written in English.

Book Review

Book Review

A Book Review Article refers to a scholarly manuscript prepared to critically analyze and evaluate a specific academic book or textbook. The book under review must be related to the fields of Library and Information Science, Information Studies, Information Technology, Educational Technology, or other related disciplines.

The review should present an analysis of the book’s structure or organization, an overview of its overall content, and a brief synopsis of each section. It should also discuss the strengths, weaknesses, and/or the academic value or usefulness of the book.

The manuscript shall consist of the following components:

  1. Author of the book
  2. Main content
  3. Book cover image
  4. Conclusion
  5. References: References must follow the APA (7th edition) citation style and must be written in English.
