STRATEGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF A GREEN UNIVERSITY AT RAMBHAI BARNI RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This research aims to present a model for establishing sustainable green university development strategies at Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, located in the eastern region of Chanthaburi Province. It is classified as a university in the category of "suburban," which plays an essential role in being a university for local development. This research aims to propose ideas and strategies to create a model of a sustainable green university. Use interdisciplinary research methods with an emphasis on qualitative research .The student will use the study method from the document related articles and thesis , they will study based on six key indicators, namely geographical, energy management, water management, waste management, transportation management, and education management, according to the manual of UI Green Metric World University Rankings, Indonesia, whether it is appropriate and under the context that will lead to the adaptation of Rajabhat University to be sustainable or not.The results of the research found that: The model for developing the strategy of Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University toward becoming a sustainable green university. The research proposes a sustainable education system under the concept called the 4C Model, which consists of green cultural factors (Culture), sustainable management of the environment (Campus), sustainable education management within educational institutions (Curriculum), and the creation of a sustainable green community network (Community).
