SAFETY MEASURES OF PUBLIC BUSES: A CASE STUDY OF MINIBUSES

Abstract
In this dissertation, the researcher examines (1) the safety measures of public buses: a case study of minibusses and buses; investigates (2) the problems arising from the safety measures; and studies (3) guidelines for the development of safety measures. In this qualitative research investigation, the researcher studied documents and data from the technique of in-depth interviews.
Findings are as follows:
1) The safety measures have policies, laws, regulations, and governmental support activities that support the quality of vehicles which cover fixed-route and non-fixed-route operators, drivers, and the performance of government officials.
2) The safety measures such as policies, laws, and regulations are overlapped.
3) The guidelines to develop safety measures found that the policies, laws, and regulations shall be revised to offer total coverage for every participating in safety measures of Minibuses and Buses.
