Early Childhood Playground Design: A Case Study of Ban Muang Fai School in Saraburi Province

Abstract

This study aimed to 1) create playground prototype options which are suitable for young children in order to promote their health and learning skills. The implementation process includes (1) network collaboration (2) site survey and collective data (3) data analysis (4) synthesis and alternative design (5) design development and final production and (6) evaluation and conclusion. It was a project-based learning in conjunction with the site planning course of 34 fourth-year students. After the project was completed, it was found that the students developed the skills of learning in terms of concept design, problem-solving, and applied design theory into the real site. Moreover, they can raise skills to collaborate with others through projects that can be used as topics for collaborative learning.
