The Development of Communication Skills in Daily Life of Children with Autism Through Multimedia

Abstract
The objectives of this research are to 1) develop multimedia for the development of communication skills in daily life of children with autism and 2) study the effect of developing communication skills in daily life of children with autism through multimedia. This study is quantitative research, Model is a single-sample pre-experimental research model. It was conducted between March 2023 and April 2023. It utilized purposive sampling to choose participants from children with autism travelling between homes at the Nakhon Phanom Special Education Center in the second semester of academic year 2022. Participants in this study were five children aged 7–14 years with communication disabilities. This study was approved by the committee of the Center for Ethics in Human Research, Khon Kaen University (No. HE 663021). The Tools used are Multimedia, a guide, Observational questionnaire. The behavioral observational questionnaire about the effects of multimedia. The period was five weeks and there were fifteen trials. Statistics used data analysis. basic statistics, average values, percentage values. Results used tables.
Results
- The effect of the development of multimedia for the development of communication skills in daily life of children with autism to receive multimedia via website https://kroobunusmedia.com/, which has a confidence value of 0.98.
- The results of the development of communication skills in daily life of children with autism through multimedia. that there is an improvement of communication skills in daily life of children with autism through multimedia, with effective increases in mean 0.93 and percentage 93.33.
