Abstract

This research was descriptive research, the purpose were : 1) to study the current condition
of teachers preparation for receiving ASEAN community of school under the office of Secondary
Educational service area 25, 2) to study how to prepare the teachers for receiving ASEAN community of
school under the office of secondary school educational service area 25. The sample consisted of 351
secondary school teachers under the office of Secondary Educational Service Area 25 and 5 targets who
gave the information for the article of how to prepare the teachers for receiving ASEAN community.
The tools used for data collection were questionnaire with a reliability of 0.98 and the structured
interview. The collected data were analyzed by computer packaged program. Statistics used for data
analysis were frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The research findings:
1) The teachers under the office of Secondary Educational service area 25 had prepared for
receiving ASEAN community in overall image was in high level, except Language and Communication
aspect was in fair level.
2) The way of teachers preparation for receiving ASEAN community were encouraging the
teachers aware about the importance of ASEAN community, making education development plan;
a 3 year plan and a 5 year plan, provide the indicator and the teacher standard for working control
and assessment, encourage the teachers to make the class research, develop the communication skills
in English and the languages in each country in ASEAN, making the efficiency in technology, exchange
and cooperate in education development for sharing the opinion among ASEAN community and the
international.
