A Causal Relationship Model of Factors Affecting The Success of Basic Schools under The Office of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Services Area1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to check the congruence of the causal structural relationships
of factors affecting the success with the empirical data and present the direct indirect and total
influences affecting the success of Basic Schools under the Office of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational
Service Area 1. The sample group consisted of 680 teachers from stratified random sampling. The
instruments were 5-levels by rating scale questionnaires, with the IOC value between 0.80 and 1.00
and the reliability value of 0.991.
The research findings were as follows:
1) In developing a model of causal relationships of factors affecting the success of Basic Schools
under the Office of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Services Area 1, five latent variables were found
(1) Organizational Culture (2) Transformational Leadership (3) Stakeholder Engagement (4) Empowering
Teachers and (5) Technology
2) The developed causal model was well congruent with the empirical data. The statistical
values were χ2/df = 1.087, p-value = 0.180, GFI = 0.971, AGFI = 0.947 และ RMSEA = 0.012
3) The factors with statistical highest level of direct effect on the success of the aforesaid
schools was Organizational Culture, the influence value was 0.995. For the highest level of indirect
effection the success of the aforesaid schools was Transformational Leadership, the influence value was
0.975 and the highest level of total effect on the success of the aforesaid schools was Organizational
Culture, the influence value was 0.962.
