Abstract
This study is the Development of Web-based Learning Environments to Enhance Science Process
Skills and Media and Information Literacy Skills in 21st Century of Grade 8 Students in Science
which purposed to design and develop web-based learning, to study the learner’s achievement with
web-based learning, to study the media and information literacy skills and Science Process Skills of the
learner. The target group of grade 8 students, 20 students of Khao Suan Kwang Withayanukul School
and 20 students of Srikranuan wittayakom school, Khon Kean Province. The research was Development
Research Type1 (Richey, Klein, and Nelson, 2004) comprised of 3 phases which were Phase 1 Design
and development, Phase 2 Evaluation and Phase 3 Validation.
The results showed that:
1) Development of Web-based Learning Environments to Enhance Science Process Skills and
Media and Information Literacy Skills in 21st Century of Grade 8 Students in Science As the base
design has 7 major components as follows: 1) Problem base 2) Resource 3) Collaboration 4) Media and
Information literacy skills center 5) Science Process Skills center 6) scaffolding 7) Coaching.
2) The result of the Science Process Skills of learners’ passed the 70% criterion of the specified
scores.
3) The result of learners’ media and information literacy skills was found that the learners’ has
media and information literacy skills occurred in accordance with the purposes.
4) The result of the achievement score of the learner who learned with the Web-based learning
environments, was found learners’ passed the 70% criterion of the specified scores.
5) The learning’s opinions to Web-Based Learning found that: the design and development of
Web-Based Learning were appropriated in all aspects such as learning contents, web-based learning
environments and supporting and encouraging them to enhancing knowledge construction and Enhance
Science Process Skills and Media and Information Literacy Skills in 21st Century.
