Development of Learning Documentary in the Subject of Badminton

Abstract

The aims of this study were to develop a physical education learning document in the
subject of Badminton for grade 11 to meet the criterion set at 08/08, to study the effectiveness index
of learning through the physical documentary, to compare the effects of physical education learning
documentary on learning achievement and to study student’s satisfaction toward learning through
a designed physical education learning documentary. Subjects in this study were grade 80 grade 11
students of Phudindang Wittaya school Sakonakorn province, 2016 academic year, Thailand. Subjects
were selected by using simple random sampling technique. The instruments used were 10 learning
documents in the subject of Badminton, a 40-item of learning achievement test with its reliability
at 0.92 and a satisfaction questionnaire. Statistics used for analyses were mean, standard deviation,
percentage and the effectiveness index. Dependent t – test was used to determine the differences
learning achievement between before and after study.
Results showed that a physical education learning document in the subject of Badminton for
grade 11 students was effective at 82.05/83.09 The effective index of a designed physical education
learning document in the subject of Badminton was 0.73 indicate that students has significant improved
(p<0.05) their learning achievement after study by 73%. Students were satisfied towards physical education
learning document in the subject of Badminton at high level.
Student’s learning achievement in the subject of Badminton can be improved by using a learning
documentary. Learning documentary helps teacher to easy systemize physical education classroom
and students will enjoy learning lesson and well collaborate.
