Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to develop a physical education instructional management plan integrated with game-based activities following McClelland’s concept for teaching basic Sepak Takraw skills in the Sepak Takraw subject for Mattayomsuksa 2 Students, ensuring the effectiveness meets the 75/75 criterion 2. to compare the learning achievement of Mattayomsuksa 2 Students after learning through the physical education instructional management integrated with game-based activities based on McClelland’s concept with the criterion of 75 percent 3. to compare the basic Sepak Takraw skills of Mattayomsuksa 2 Students with the criterion of 75 percent and 4. to examine the achievement motivation of Mattayomsuksa 2 Students resulting from the physical education instructional management integrated with game-based activities based on McClelland’s concept. This was a quantitative research study. The research instruments consisted of a learning management plan, an achievement test, a basic Sepak Takraw skills assessment form and an achievement motivation questionnaire. The sample consisted of 35 Mattayomsuksa 2 Students from Srisomdet Phimphatthana Witthaya School, selected using cluster sampling. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean and standard deviation and were compared using the t-test. The research findings revealed that 1) The physical education instructional management integrated with game based activities based on McClelland’s concept for basic Sepak Takraw skills in the Sepak Takraw subject showed an effectiveness of 90.25/84.30, which was higher than the specified criterion 2) The students’ post-learning achievement scores were significantly higher than the 75 percent criterion at the .05 level of statistical significance 3) The students’ basic Sepak Takraw skills after learning were significantly higher than the 75 percent criterion at the .05 level of statistical significance and 4) The achievement motivation level of the Mattayomsuksa 2 Students who learned through the physical education instructional management integrated with game-based activities based on McClelland’s concept for basic Sepak Takraw skills, arranged from the highest to the lowest mean scores, was as follows (1) I prefer to do every activity by myself and do not like others to do things for me (x̅ = 4.51, S.D. = 0.66) (2) I believe that where there is effort, there is success (x̅ = 4.43, S.D. = 0.81) (3) I always think that my future depends on my success in learning. (x̅ = 4.37, S.D. = 0.69) and (4) When I do any activity, I do it to the best of my ability (x̅ = 3.97, S.D. = 0.92), respectively.
