Development of Thai Language Learning Management Plans Using STAD Cooperative Group and Exercises on Reading and Writing Words Spelled Inconsistent with Protocol for Prathomsuksa 3 Students

Abstract

The research on development of Thai language learning management plans using STAD cooperative group and exercises on reading and writing words spelled inconsistent with protocol for Prathomsuksa 3 students had objectives: 1) to develop Thai language learning management plans on reading and writing words spelled inconsistent with protocol for Prathomsuksa 3 students to be effective according to the 80/80 criteria, 2) to compare learning achievement between before and after learning of the students who learned with Thai language learning management plans using the exercises on reading and writing words spelled inconsistent with protocol for Prathomsuksa 3 students and 3) to find the effectiveness indices of Thai language learning management plans using the exercises on reading and writing words spelled inconsistent with protocol for Prathomsuksa 3 students.  The sample was a group of 19 Prathomsuksa 3 students from Donwai Nongtaklai Laocharoen School gaining from purposive sampling.  The research instruments included: four learning management plans, four sets of the exercises and a learning achievement test.  Statistics used for data analysis were: percentage, mean, standard deviation, effectiveness indices and hypothesis testing using T-test (Dependent Sample).


          The results found that:


1.Thai language learning management plans on reading and writing words


spelled inconsistent with protocol by using the exercises for Prathomsuksa 3 students had the effectiveness of 82.61/93.95, which was in accordance with the set 80/80 criteria.


2.Learning achievement between before and after learning of Prathomsuksa


3 students who learned with Thai language learning management plans on reading and writing words spelled inconsistent with protocol by using the exercises showed that after learning was higher than before learning with statistical significance at the .05 level.


3.The effectiveness indices of Thai language learning management plans on


reading and writing words spelled inconsistent with protocol by using the exercises were 0.86, which suggested that the students had increased their learning progress for 85.97 percent.
