Abstract

This research Article aims to: (1) study the issues in the management of school supplies in primary schools in the digital era within the Uthai Thani Primary Educational Service Area 1, (2) propose guidelines for managing school supplies in primary schools in the digital era based on the Principles of Sammappadhàna 4 within the Uthai Thani Primary Educational Service Area 1, and (3) evaluate the proposed guidelines for managing school supplies in primary schools in the digital era based on the Principles of Sammappadhàna 4. This research applied the Mixed Methods Research consisting of the Quantitative Research and the Qualitative Research having 3 steps: 1) studying the problems of the supplies management of the primary schools in the digital era from 226 administrators and teachers of the primary schools under Uthai Thani Primary Educational Service Area 1 with the questionnaires and using Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation for the data analysis, 2) finding the guidelines for the supplies management of the primary schools in the digital era from 7 key informants with the focus group discussion and the content analysis for the data analysis, and 3) evaluating evaluate the guidelines for the supplies management of the primary schools in the digital era based on the Sammappadhàna from 16 school administrators and teachers with the evaluation forms consisting of 4 dimensions: the evaluation of correctness, appropriateness, practicality, and utility. The statistics used Percentage, Mean, and Standard Deviation. Research Findings: 1. The overall issues in school supply management in primary schools in the digital era within the Uthai Thani Primary Educational Service Area 1 were at a high level ( = 3.61, S.D. = 0.60). The most significant issue was the disposal of supplies, which was at a high level ( = 3.85, S.D. = 0.68), followed by maintenance and inspection, also at a high level ( = 3.76, S.D. = 0.66). The least problematic aspect was borrowing supplies, which was at a moderate level ( = 3.40, S.D. = 0.52). 2. The proposed guidelines for school supply management in primary schools in the digital era according to the Principles of Sammappadhàna 4 include: 1) Storage, Recording, and Disbursement – Schools should monitor the disbursement of supplies to reduce errors in record-keeping and implement a digital system for transparent and verifiable disbursement processes. 2). Borrowing – Schools should track borrowed supplies and ensure the return or compensation for lost or damaged items by utilizing a Line notification system to remind borrowers and address delays. 3). Maintenance and Inspection – Schools should appoint responsible personnel for maintenance and utilize a digital system to notify them when maintenance or usage reviews are required and 4). Disposal of Supplies – Schools should inspect supplies before disposal and develop a digital system that records maintenance history and verifies the safety and condition of supplies before disposal. 3. The evaluation of the proposed guidelines for school supply management in primary schools in the digital era according to the Principles of Sammappadhàna 4 was at a high level overall ( = 4.33, S.D. = 0.50). Specifically, accuracy was rated at a high level ( = 4.33, S.D. = 0.50), feasibility at a high level ( = 4.23, S.D. = 0.48), appropriateness at a high level = 4.24, S.D. = 0.50), and usefulness at a high level ( = 4.30, S.D. = 0.52).
