Abstract

This study aimed to (1) develop students’ 21st century skills in the “Create Your own Joyful Farm” course through active learning using a station rotation model, (2) promote positive attitudes toward joyful learning, and (3) examine students’ satisfaction with the proposed learning strategy. The sample consisted of 751 students enrolled in the “Create Your own Joyful Farm” course during the second semester of the 2025 academic year. Data were collected from the entire population without sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires, and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation, as well as a paired t-test to compare pre-test and post-test scores. The results revealed that active learning using a station rotation model effectively enhanced students’ 21st century skills. Students demonstrated high levels of critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. In addition, students exhibited highly positive attitudes toward joyful learning, reflecting enjoyment, pride, and active engagement in the learning process. Students’ satisfaction with the learning strategy was also at the highest level (mean = 4.688), covering aspects of objectives, content, learning activities, instructor roles, and assessment methods. The comparison between pre-test and post-test scores indicated that post-test scores were significantly higher than pre-test scores at the .05 level, demonstrating the effectiveness of the station rotation-based active learning approach in improving academic achievement. In conclusion, the implementation of active learning using a station rotation model in the “Create Your own Joyful Farm” course effectively enhanced 21st century skills, promoted positive attitudes toward joyful learning, and achieved high levels of student satisfaction. This approach can be appropriately applied to improve teaching and learning management in other courses.
