The Role of the Mahawichalai Dhamma Foundation Learning Center in Community Development for Livelihoods Based on The King's Philosophy: A Case Study of Ban Hua Krok Community, Phaya Yen Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

Abstract

This article aims to 1) study the history and development of the Mahavijalai Dharma Foundation Learning Center, 2) study the role of the center in community development in terms of occupations according to The King's philosophy), and 3) study the approach to creating occupations, generating income, and creating new lives for people in the Ban Huakrok community. This qualitative research. The sample group is a study of secondary data documents, 20 interviews, and 20 focus group discussions. The sample group was selected purposively and the data was collected and analyzed using content analysis. The results of the study found that: 1) The center was established and began operating since 2010 - present. It is a place to learn about work, including studying Dharma, and practicing self-sufficient occupations according to the royal philosophy. In 2023, it filed for registration as the Mahavijalai Dharma Foundation. 2) The center plays a role in developing youth and model families for sustainable self-reliance according to the royal philosophy for the livelihood of people in the community, and 3) the approach to creating occupations has 6 community learning bases: the King's philosophy, the Khok Nong Na model, the Graduate Development Community Innovator, Buddhist Prototype, Mahavijaya Dharma Foundation, Bodhisattva Sangha Vihara Model, Sangha Karaniyakhi Abroad, and Sufficiency Economy For living and eating.
