The Application of The Four Sublime States of Mind Principle in Temple Management of Buddhist Monks in Muang District, Pathum Thani Province

Abstract

This article aimed to study attitudes towards the application of the Four Sublime States of mind principle in temple management of Buddhist monks in Muang District, Pathum Thani Province, and to compare attitudes towards the application of the Four Sublime States of mind principle in temple management of Buddhist monks in Muang District, Pathum Thani Province and to study suggestions about the application of the Four Sublime States of mind principle in temple management of Buddhist monks in Muang District, Pathum Thani Province. This research was quantitative, the research tool was a questionnaire by key informants who are five ecclesiastical official monks in Muang District, Pathum Thani Province. The research results revealed that the application of the Four Sublime States of Mind principle in temple management of Buddhist monks in Muang District, Pathum Thani Province. Overall, the attitudes towards the application of the Four Sublime States of Mind principle in temple management were at a high level. The result of a comparative analysis of the application of the Four Sublime States of mind principle in temple management according to the attitudes of the monks in Muang District Pathum Thani Province, When categorized by personal characteristics, found that most monks with various ages, ordination years, Scholar qualifications, Dhamma scholar qualifications, Pali scholar qualifications had attitudes towards the application of the Four sublime states of mind principle in temple management according to the attitudes of the monks were significantly different at the level of 0.05Problems, obstacles, and suggestions for the application of the Four Sublime States of minds principle in temple management towards attitudes of monks in Muang District, Pathum Thani Province, found that the monks still lacked skills and abilities in organizational management and also lacked budget to support administrative works. In this regard, funding from the public and private sectors should be encouraged to proactively develop the media to develop a more modern propagation model by using media technology. In this regard, funding from the public and private sectors should be encouraged to produce media for the development of proactive dissemination to be more modern by using media technology.  There is still a lack of competent personnel in terms of building, renovating, and maintaining the permanent structures. The temple and the community lacked proper communication and coordination in organizing activities.
