The Application of Sanghavatthu Principle to Improving Public Service of Ton Kram Sub-district Municipality Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri Province

Abstract

This article aims to 1) study the level of public service of Ton Kram Sub-district Municipality Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri Province, 2) compare public opinions on public service of Ton Kram Sub-district Municipality Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri Province, and 3) propose the application of the principles of social welfare to develop public service of Ton Kram Sub-district Municipality Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri Province. The research design is mixed-methods research between qualitative and quantitative research. The concept of leadership development and the concept of social welfare principles are used as the research framework. The research area is Ton Kram Subdistrict Municipality, Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri Province. The population of the research is 372 people. The selection method is Taro Yamane's formula. There are 2 types of research instruments: 1) questionnaires and 2) interviews. The quantitative research analyzed data by percentage, mean, and correlation. The content analysis was used and the descriptive writing was written. The results of the research found that: 1) The overall level of leadership development of the executives of Ton Kram Sub-district Municipality is at a moderate level. 2) Comparison of public opinions on public services of Ton Kram Subdistrict Municipality, Bang Pla Ma District, Suphan Buri Province, overall, there is a positive relationship at the highest level, with a statistical significance level of 0.01.

3) Guidelines for applying the principles of social virtue to develop public services of Ton Kram Subdistrict Municipality, Bang Pla Ma District, to be adjusted to develop public services under the vision of generosity, kindness, polite speech, helping the people, and being consistent in providing services to the people.
