The Community-Based Waste Management under the Circular Economy Concept: A Case Study of Pa Tong Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sai Dao District, Chanthaburi Province

Abstract

This research article has the following objectives 1) to study community-based waste management under the circular economy concept and 2) to examine community participation in the development of a comprehensive community-based waste management system: A case Study of Pa Tong Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Sai Dao District, Chanthaburi Province. This is a qualitative research study that utilizes in-depth interviews, participant observation, and group discussions. The study focuses on key informants, including administrators, staff members of the local government organization, and community members. A total of 15 individuals were selected as a targeted sample for the study. The data collected through these methods will be analyzed using a qualitative data analysis with contextual analysis of content.
The results of the research showed that community zero-based waste management under the concept of circular economy of Patong Subdistrict Administrative Organization found that circular economy principles were applied. Under the 3R principle, waste reduction, reuse and recycling. As for community participation in the development of comprehensive community zero-based waste management, it was found that it resulted from the application of the A-I-C principle, creating an opportunity for everyone to participate in expressing opinions on the development of management knowledge. waste and appropriate waste management technologies in 3 issues, namely 1) educating about types of waste 2) managing each type of waste and 3) structuring work in each community. to have waste separation There is comprehensive training on waste management under the concept of the circular economy. And there should be promotion and support to bring waste to add value by processing it by inventing it to produce new products. as a souvenir next.
