The Administration of Dormitory Care of the School of Welfare Education Under the Office of Special Education Administration in Mae Hong Son Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to present a study of administration of dormitory care of the school and to study the developmental approaches to administration of dormitory care of the school of Welfare Education under the Office of Special Education Administration in Mae Hong Son Province. The population and data source used in this study were purposive sampling of 144 individuals. It can be divided into four 4 administrators and 140 educational personnel in schools under the Special Education Center in Mae Hong Son Province from the academic year 2022 The tools used in the study were questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed using statistics, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, and analyzed the contents of the interview form.

The findings revealed that the overall administration of the dormitories of the welfare schools was at a high level. It can be sorted from average to descending: boarding activities, dormitory management, student affairs, nutrition work, school health work, building facilities. Development guidelines should define the time structure for life skills activities according to grade level. The criteria for placing students in the dormitory should be clearly and systematically established. There should be mentors to take care of with teachers. The importance of student hygiene should be organized in collaboration with an outside agency to assess the cleanliness of the washing facilities, container storage and proper disposal of food waste. There should be an internet system available in schools to integrate life skills with teaching and learning appropriate to the local context.
