Development of Online Lessons in Teaching Management Integrated Management Course

Abstract

This research article aimed to 1) develop online lessons for Integrated Management course instruction and 2) investigate the learning outcomes of instruction with the online lesson in the Integrated Management course. This study employed a quasi-experimental research design. The sample consisted of a panel of 5 experts specializing in online lesson development, and 24 students enrolled in the Integrated Management course, selected through cluster random sampling. The research instruments included: 1) quality assessment forms for online lesson content evaluated by experts, 2) online learning management plans for the Integrated Management course, 3) learning achievement tests, and 4) student opinion questionnaires regarding online instruction. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test Depentdent statistics.

The research findings revealed that:

1. The online lessons for the Integrated Management course instruction, which were evaluated based on online lesson components, demonstrated the highest level of appropriateness (Mean = 4.57).


2. The learning outcomes showed that post-test scores were significantly higher than pre-test scores at the .01 level. Moreover, students' perceptions of online lesson-based instruction for integrated management courses were at the highest level overall (Mean = 4.53).

The research findings reveal that online lesson management is particularly suitable for open education systems aimed at lifelong learning. It is essential to apply technology to learning experiences, enabling learners to engage with virtual realistic experiences. Lessons should be designed to be enjoyable and stimulate learners' desire to learn and engage in collaborative learning.  By creating opportunities for learners to work together, the approach facilitates knowledge exchange and develops collaborative work skills.
