Aims and Scope

JARS (Journal of Architectural/Planning Research and Studies) is an international double-blinded peer-review journal initiated by the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Thammasat University, Thailand. The journal aims to be a leading academic arena that provides a concerted platform for academics, researchers as well as professionals in the transformation, exchange, criticism of research and studies in the fields of Architecture; Interior Architecture; Landscape Architecture; Urban Design Planning and Development; Real Estate Management and Development; Design Related Issues. 

Submitted manuscripts shall be in the form of research summary, analytical studies, or academic paper that provides analysis, criticism, or innovation of knowledge in the mentioned fields.

According to the change of the regulation from Thailand's Office of the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education in July 2021, JARS will provide 3 peer-reviewers per manuscript. This new journal's adjustment will apply to new submissions from August, 2021 onwards.

JARS is published bi-annually, Issue 1 – 2

Each issue is published in advance while in the working process

Paper Submission 

Author(s) must register JARS ThaiJO website and submit a manuscript and all materials online ONLY via the JARS ThaiJO website.

All JARS' articles will be published with open access meaning the articles are universally accessible via the JARS ThaiJO website There is no publication charges for the open access.
