ผลกระทบของวิกฤตโรคระบาดโควิด-19 ต่อความเสี่ยงทางการเงินของธุรกิจโรงแรมและรีสอร์ทในประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
สถานการณ์โควิด-19 (COVID-19) เป็นวิกฤตการณ์โรคระบาดที่รุนแรงและส่งผลกระทบเป็นวงกว้างไปทั่วโลก โดยเฉพาะธุรกิจโรงแรมและรีสอร์ทที่มีรายได้ลดลงเป็นจำนวนมากอันเนื่องประกาศสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉินและมาตรการปิดประเทศของรัฐบาล ทำให้กิจการธุรกิจโรงแรมและรีสอร์ทต้องหยุดชะงักขาดเงินทุนหมุนเวียนในการบริหารจัดการอันอาจจะก่อให้เกิดความเสี่ยงทางการเงินของธุรกิจในอนาคต ดังนั้น งานวิจัยฉบับนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลกระทบของวิกฤต COVID-19 ต่ออัตราส่วนหนี้สินต่อสินทรัพย์รวม อัตราส่วนแสดงความสามารถการจ่ายดอกเบี้ย และอัตราส่วนเงินทุนหมุนเวียนต่อสินทรัพย์รวมของธุรกิจโรงแรมและรีสอร์ทในประเทศไทยจากทั้งหมด จำนวน 171 กิจการ จากรายชื่อที่เผยแพร่บนเว็บไซต์ของสมาคมธุรกิจท่องเที่ยวภายในประเทศ (สทน) หลังจากคัดเลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างด้วยวิธีเจาะจงตามคุณลักษณะที่กำหนด กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 115 กิจการ โดยเก็บรวมรวบข้อมูลระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2561 – 2563 สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล ประกอบด้วย 1) การวิเคราะห์ด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา 2) การวิเคราะห์สหสัมพันธ์ และ 3) การวิเคราะห์สมการถดถอยเชิงพหุ
ผลการวิจัยพบว่าวิกฤต COVID-19 ที่เกิดขึ้นในประเทศไทยในปี 2563 ส่งผลให้อัตราส่วนแสดงความสามารถในการจ่ายดอกเบี้ยของกิจการธุรกิจโรงแรมและรีสอร์ทลดลงเมื่อเทียบกับปี 2561 และปี 2562 ซึ่งเป็นปีก่อนการเกิดวิกฤต COVID-19 หรือกล่าวได้ว่ากิจการมีความเสี่ยงทางการเงินเพิ่มขึ้น ในขณะที่อัตราส่วนหนี้สินต่อสินทรัพย์รวมและอัตราส่วนเงินทุนหมุนเวียนต่อสินทรัพย์รวมไม่ได้รับผลกระทบจากวิกฤต COVID-19
