Main Article Content
Abstract
This article aims to (1) explore the needs of students who want to sell their artwork on online platforms and (2) identify ways to apply online platforms for students to sell their artwork. This qualitative research used document analysis and interviews as data collection tools, with a purposive sample of 30 participants. The findings indicate that (1) among artwork sellers, Instagram and Facebook were the most used platforms, with 17 out of 20 participants (85%) actively using them, and four other platforms also showed significant interest. For artwork buyers, Instagram was used by all 10 participants (100%), with six other platforms also being of interest. (2) The research also identified practical methods for using online platforms to sell artwork, derived from analyzing current seller practices and buyer behavior. These methods include specific steps for platform usage, suitable media for presenting work, appropriate platforms for buying and selling, and strategies for fostering interaction between buyers and sellers.
