Guidelines for Developing an Effective Management Model of Community Enterprises in Thep Mongkol Ruam Jai Pattana Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract
The objectives were to study 1) the current management situation, 2) management problems and obstacles, and 3) guidelines for developing an effective management model. This qualitative research methodology was used. Key informants were 17 purposively selected individuals with expertise in promoting production and distribution of community enterprise products and representatives from 3 stores. The data collection tools were semi-structured interviews combined with observation. Data were analyzed by content analysis. The results revealed that 1) the current management situation of community enterprises lacks management in 3 main issues: enterprise operation direction, production planning, and knowledge management and communication. 2) problems and obstacles in community enterprise management: leaders and members do not have clarity in setting group goals, directions, and operations. There is a lack of learning about the production process and a lack of knowledge exchange in various fields. 3) guidelines for developing an effective management model of community enterprises in 5 main issues: 1) community enterprise operation direction, 2) production planning, 3) knowledge management and communication, 4) member participation in community enterprise management, and 5) self-reliance and self-sufficiency of community enterprise members.
