Abstract

The initiation of Light and Shape with Glass Sculpture is a curiosity in the composition of glass sculptures. The art piece is composed of connecting glass lines to form a natural shape, where their transparency creates a reflection that yields a sense of peacefulness. To appreciate and admire the origin of things, light and shape aim to reveal the essence of emergence and vanishing when body and mind are connected and linked to the object, showcasing the beauty of natural form. The abstraction emerging from the figure of the aesthetic shape and light, arranged with high concentration, uplifts the human soul.

The methodology of the glass sculpture significantly contains freedom, as the transparency, meltability, and attachability of the glass material encourage new skills and processes in the work. Mental concentration and effort establish the free form, which leads the audience to experience the scene in a space that embraces light and shape together. As the presence and movement of the light and shape change the vision, the observers are reminded of insecurity, the truth of impermanence, and the need to stay cautious and peaceful.
