The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Film Sound Design
Main Article Content
Abstract
This academic article studies the rapidly advancing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in film sound production. AI has changed the traditional film industry sound design approach by introducing new instruments and methods, boosting creativity and efficiency. The production process is accelerated from voiceover creation and music to sound effects, synthesis, adjustment, composition, classification, and noise reduction. This helps to fulfill narrative goals. In addition to sound synthesis, AI inspires creativity among sound designers by facilitating film score composition. However, AI also represents challenges and obstacles in film sound production that should be considered, including copyright and ethical issues.
