Abstract

This research aimed to (1) Study the Factors Affecting Voting Decision of the Member of Parliament in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province of the Constituency 3, A Case Study of General Election in B.E. 2023, and (2) Comparison of Voting Decisions for the Election of the Members of the House of Representatives of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Constituency 3, in the Case of the 2023 General Election, Classified by Personal Factors. The sample group used in the study was people in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province who were eligible to vote for the House of Representatives in Constituency 3, totaling 400 people. The instrument used in the study was a questionnaire. The researcher was able to collect all the data, which is 100 percent. The statistics used in data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test. The research results found that (1) the factors that influence the decision to vote for the election of the Member of Parliament of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Constituency 3, in the case of the 2023 general election are the personal qualifications of the candidates, followed by the policies of the candidates, political party factors, campaign factors, vote canvassers/related individuals or groups, and personal relationship factors, respectively, and (2) people with different ages, education levels, and occupations have different voting decisions for the election of the Member of Parliament for Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Constituency 3, in the case of the 2023 general election. As for the people with different genders and average monthly incomes, their decision to vote for the election of the members of the House of Representatives of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Constituency 3, in the case of the 2023 election was no different.
