Developing the Potential of Community Enterprises to Build Community Strength A Case Study of a Coffee Producing Community Enterprise in Chumphon Province

Abstract
This research aims to study the development of coffee-producing community enterprises in Chumphon Province. Problems and obstacles of coffee-producing enterprises in Chumphon Province and to find ways to develop the potential of community enterprises in Chumphon Province. It is qualitative research. Collect information from documents and in-depth interviews with key informants, coffee producer community enterprise operators in Chumphon Province, consisting of the group president, group executive committee, and 12 members of coffee-growing farmers in the area. The research results found that 1. The beginning of the coffee-producing community enterprise in Chumphon Province was to create careers, create jobs, and create income for members and people in the community from debt problems and low coffee prices. The group has adopted the philosophy of Sufficiency Economy, emphasizing the participation of the executive board and members, and having leaders with a clear vision and ideology to lead to success in management. 2. Problems and obstacles of coffee-producing community enterprises include 1) lack of working capital 2) personnel lacking management skills 3) decreasing cultivation area. And 3. The approach to developing potential is to develop the skills of members who have expertise in management, including the public and private sectors, who should support and promote enterprises to operate efficiently and effectively to lead to self-reliance and sustainable development in the future.
