Abstract

The purpose of this article was to present the concept of sensual desires according to Teravada Buddhism, which have reviewed belong to the villagers for monks, belonging to the worldly person, not the way of the nobles, and not useful in the practice of ending suffering. This is a practice of non-Buddhist priests, which is not a way to rid one's desires. The Lord Buddha taught us to abstain from these passions because it is an extreme way that cannot achieve to Nivarana. In addition, this article presents value, demerit, the way of throwing out of desires, and also useful of leaving these pleasures. This will be useful and a guideline for further right practice.
