The Roles in Supporting Buddhist Activities of Uposathasila’s the Assembly in Nongboonmak District

Abstract

This research has three objectives; 1) to study about the roles in supporting Buddhist activities of Uposathasila in Buddhist era, 2) to study about background and development of Uposathasila the assembly in Nongboonmak District and 3) to study about the roles in supporting Buddhist activities of Uposathasila the assembly in Nongboonmak District. It is a Qualitative Research that collected the data from documents and filed study in the area of Nongboonmak District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The research results is found that Upasaka-Upasika’s the assembly in Nongboonmak District was established on 2003 with the member for 810 members by mentioned of the monks and public who participated of Uposathasila in the temples in Nongboonmak District has the objective of working is clearly, there are rules, method and has the committee operate and has the activities that benefit Buddhist Association and for society. The previous; the association has served for supporting Buddhist activities are Patronage of the monk, Buddhist activities, invitation the public visit the temple, publicize the Dhamma, assistance, activities of the monks and traditional that affected supporting Buddhist activities of the association. It caused the large benefits for Buddhist and society and also has been accepted by the public who visit the temple for observe the percepts, practice the Dhamma, preserve the good tradition. It is show that the temples have the public visit for serve Upasaka-Upasika and apply to be a member of the association is increase every year.
