การสร้างผลงานศิลปะภาพถ่ายจากภาพสะท้อนวัฒนธรรมการบูชาวัตถุมงคล Fine Art Photography as Reflected on Amulet Worshiping Culture

Abstract

การสร้างผลงานศิลปะภาพถ่ายจากภาพสะท้อนวัฒนธรรมการบูชาวัตถุมงคลเป็นโครงการ วิจัยเพื่อการสร้างสรรค์ โดยได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากการที่ปัจจุบันมีการใช้สื่ออินเตอร์เน็ตประเภทเว็บไซต์ เป็นพื้นที่เผยแพร่และเป็นตลาดเพื่อการซื้อขายวัตถุมงคล ซึ่งสะท้อนให้พิจารณาว่าความหมายและวัฒนธรรมการบูชาวัตถุมงคลกำลังเปลี่ยนไป มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางความหมายและรูปแบบการสร้างวัตถุมงคล ในประวัติศาสตร์ไทย แล้วจึงนำผลการศึกษาที่ได้มาสร้างเป็นกรอบแนวคิด สู่การสร้างศิลปะภาพถ่ายด้วยเทคนิคโฟโต้มอนทาจ

ผลจากการศึกษาพบว่า 1) ความหมายของวัตถุมงคลในปัจจุบัน เป็นวัตถุที่สร้างขึ้นเป็นสิ่งบูชาเพื่อผลทางโลกมากกว่าทางธรรม มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงรูปแบบการสร้างตามลักษณะความเชื่อร่วมสมัย ทำให้วัตถุมงคลสามารถซื้อขายในฐานะสินค้าบนพื้นที่อินเตอร์เน็ตโดยใช้ภาพถ่ายเป็นสื่อกลาง 2) ผลการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปะภาพถ่าย เกิดจากการเก็บข้อมูลภาพถ่าย จากเว็บไซต์ยูอะมูเลท ที่มีการซื้อขายวัตถุมงคลจำนวน 3 กลุ่มตัวอย่าง แล้วนำภาพข้อมูลมาประกอบสร้างตามหลักองค์ประกอบศิลป์ เรื่องการประสานรูปทรงด้วยการซ้ำ ตามลักษณะสำคัญของภาพถ่ายวัตถุมงคล เพื่อพรางรูปทรงวัตถุมงคล และสื่อความหมายทางนามธรรม ด้วยเทคนิคโฟโต้มอนทาจในโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ เพื่อพิมพ์ลงบนกระดาษจำนวน 3 ชิ้น

This photomontage project is a research into contemporary online market as it reflects the shifting of norms in cultural condition. Its aim is also to record various shifts of quality, meaning, and production of sacred amulet in this particular historical moment in Thailand.

For this particular research, the creative researcher finds that: 1) Contemporary amulet is made to fulfill possible success in the material world rather than for the object to be a stand in to remind the owner of strict code of conduct for achieving Buddhist’sdharma path. Formal modification is flowing in accords with contemporary believes in ways in which the amulet can be bought and sold online by using photography as a medium. 2) The creative researcher began these three pieces of work by collecting three groups of images from http://www.uamulet.com. Striving towards abstraction, by using computer program and photomontage technique, the images then were reproduced and put together en masse to hide their originalsigns and signifiers.
