Motivation of one-on-one piano students attending private music school in Bangkok

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to study on motivation in self-development of one-on-one piano students between groups of students of high academic achievement and low academic achievement. The researcher used Trinity College London Test and ABRSM to define between high and low academic. The result of the study showed that the most important factor of the motivation in one-on-one piano students was parent. The study found that parent supported and encouraged their children, the students, to listen to music and attend to concerts could motivate the students’ attention in practicing in spite of the difficulty.
