Publicizing Innovation in Chiang Saen Hong Dam Worshiping Tray Model and Chiang Rai Local Weaving Textile

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance the value of Chiang Saen Hong Dam and local weaving textiles. The result showed that there were 6 administrative steps, including 1) identifying and analyzing the samples’ needs, and found that the “Duay Jai Rak” style  was employed; 2) convincing and conceptualizing the design via the GOODNOTE application and calculating using GSP; 3) analyzing and synthesizing knowledge from the Chiang Saen Hong Dam pattern, which was two swans facing oppositely forming a “Duay Jai Rak” heart shape; 4) the invention of the Thai Kra Chang Bai Thet Pattern from beeswax, which has a good smell, is sticky, soft, glittery, and could be shaped functionally; 5) dissemination of knowledge; 6) for knowledge publicizing, the result showed that the satisfaction towards the activity was at the highest level (equation = 4.44). The procedures, place, duration, and refreshment, were (equation = 4.52), followed by the content (equation = 4.37), and application and enhancing were (equation = 4.35), respectively. Therefore, the textile from the worshiping tray could be promoted and developed into soft power in Chiang Rai.
