สถานการณ์และแนวโน้มการท่องเที่ยวเชิงสุขภาพโลกและประเทศไทย

บทคัดย่อ
สถานการณ์และแนวโน้มการท่องเที่ยวเชิงการแพทย์ (Medical Tourism) และ การท่องเที่ยวแบบ Wellness Tourism พบว่า ทวีปเอเซียเป็นหนึ่งในจุดหมายปลายทางของนักท่องเที่ยวเพราะในมุมมองของ Medical Tourism ประเทศในแถบเอเชียมีสถานพยาบาลที่มีคุณภาพสูงและได้มาตรฐานระดับโลก (World-class standard) ค่ารักษาพยาบาลถูกกว่า ทั้งนี้ประเทศไทยอยู่ในลำดับที่ 18 ของโลก และเป็นลำดับที่ 5 ในเอเชีย ส่วน Wellness Tourism มีอัตราการเติบโต ประมาณ 9.1% ต่อปี โดยภูมิภาคที่มีจำนวนนักท่องเที่ยว Wellness มากที่สุด ได้แก่ ทวีปอเมริกาเหนือ และทวีปเอเชีย-แปซิฟิค นอกจากนี้มูลค่าตลาดของ Wellness Tourism ของประเทศไทยมีแนวโน้มสูงขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องทุกปี
