Thai Youth Perception towards Cultural Tourism Image in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research was to study Thai youth perception towards cultural tourism image in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya province. The sample were 385 Thai youth who travelled to Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya province. A questionnaire was used as a survey tool and data were analyzed statistically using the frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, and the test value “t” (t-test) in order to compare the cultural tourism image of Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya province in Thai youth perception by age interval. The results were as followed;
1) The majority of Thai youth was female whose age was 19 – 25 years old. The highest education level was the Bachelor’s degree and most of them were students.
2) The majority of Thai youth travelled to Ayutthaya Province with family for more than 3 times. The main purpose was to travel and recreate in the weekend. Moreover, they accessed information concerning the cultural attraction in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya province via internet.
3) The most image of cultural tourism in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya province which effected perception of Thai youth was cultural history and art (= 4.38, S.D. = 0.553) and followed by atmosphere of the place. (= 4.35, S.D. = 0.537)
4) Comparison Thai youth perception towards cultural tourism image in Phra Nakorn Si Ayutthaya province by age interval, there was no significant at 0.05 levels.
