DESIGNING LOCAL CHINESE TEXTBOOK ABOUT MY HOMETOWN CHIANG RAI AT MEIZHUANG MINGHUA SCHOOL

The main content of this paper is to design a local Chinese textbook My Hometown: Chiang Rai for the second-grade students of Meizguang Minghua School in Chiang Rai, Thailand; Then we will use the textbook and the general Chinese textbook to carry out the experiment based on teaching activities. Besides, we will compare the students’ learning achievements in Chinese before and after implementing learning activities using the local Chinese textbook. At last, the local Chinese textbook for learning showed the efficiency scores at 86.92/84.38 and in line with the 80/80 efficiency standard. The post-test for learning achievement of students who learned via the local Chinese textbook was higher (84.38) than the pretest (61.04) at a significance level of .05.
