Abstract

With the in-depth implementation of China's "the belt and road initiative" strategy and the formal establishment of China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership, the educational exchanges and cooperation between China and the belt and road initiative countries have become increasingly close. Cross-cultural communication plays an important role in international economy, politics, culture, education and other fields, and the effect of cross-cultural communication directly affects the success or failure of international communication and cooperation. In cross-cultural communication, there are two ways for human beings to establish communication: one is verbal communication, and the other is nonverbal communication. Non-verbal communication refers to the activities of communicating without language in the process of communication, including body posture, gestures, facial expressions, eyes, smiles, costumes, personal items and so on. In the case of language barrier, nonverbal communication is particularly important in cross-cultural communication, which is an important supplement to language expression and is conducive to improving the quality and efficiency of cross-cultural communication.
