IMPACT OF COVID-19 AND COUNTER MEASURES FOR CHINESE EDUCATION IN PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN CHIANG RAI THAILAND

Abstract

This study focuses on the teaching of Chinese language education in primary and secondary schools in Chiang Rai, Thailand, during the period of novel coronavirus, according to the impact of novel coronavirus epidemic on world education, the impact on Chinese language education, and related research combined with comparative analysis theory. The research tools used include survey questionnaires, data statistical tables, etc. Combined with the related research review of Chinese language education under the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic and the related research review of Chinese language education in primary and secondary schools in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Through a questionnaire survey, we learned about the impact on Chinese language teaching in primary and secondary schools in Chiang Rai Prefecture of Thailand during the novel coronavirus epidemic, so as to further study the impact on Chinese language teachers and students in schools that offered Chinese language courses during the novel coronavirus epidemic. To investigate the teaching situation and existing problems of Chinese language education in primary and secondary schools in Chiang Rai Prefecture, Thailand during the epidemic period. Secondly, a comparative analysis will be conducted on the teaching situation of Chinese language schools and Thai language schools during the epidemic period in primary and secondary schools in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. Finally, corresponding measures are proposed for the investigation of Chinese language teaching during the epidemic period in primary and secondary schools in Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. Based on the impact and difficulties faced by different schools, Chinese language teachers, and students learning Chinese during the epidemic, specific problems are analyzed and corresponding solutions and methods are proposed.
