Analysis of the compilation of local legal Chinese Textbook for Chinese-learning Novice in Thailand

Abstract

With the increasing influence of Chinese in the world, the learning of Chinese as a second language is increasingly showing a trend of specialization and professionalization, and "Chinese for Specific Purpose" emerged. This article focuses on a branch of "Chinese for Specific Purpose" - legal Chinese, based on the theory of the compilation of Chinese for specific purpose textbook, by comparing two authoritative legal Chinese textbooks in China《中国法律专业汉语教程》and《法律汉语：商事篇》,summarized their respective advantages and disadvantages. On this basis, combined with the characteristics of "Chinese-learning novice" and "Thailand localness", from the three aspects of the orientation of textbook, the content and writing style of textbook, the layout design and supporting teaching resources of textbook, this article puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of local legal Chinese textbooks for Chinese-learning novice in Thailand. It is hoped that the article can promote the compilation and development of local legal Chinese textbooks in Thailand.
