Abstract

The ability of cross-cultural communication is one of the abilities that college students must have. And colleges should vigorously carry out cross-cultural teaching, in which teaching English on tea culture is an important aspect. But at present, the quality of English teaching on tea culture in colleges does not seem to be satisfactory. The new teaching mode of flipped classroom is worth trying. This paper first expounds the differences between Chinese and Western tea cultures, then introduces the role of flipped classroom, a new teaching mode, in English teaching, and finally puts forward the methods of applying flipped classroom to English teaching on tea culture in colleges. It is hoped that this paper can contribute to improving the quality of teaching English on tea culture in colleges.
