ANALYZE THE PHENOMENON OF YU HUA CAUSED BY THE ONLINE COMMENTS ON THE NOVEL "BROTHERS"

Abstract

        Yu Hua’s novel “Brothers” triggered readers’ responses to various criticisms. This criticism is based on the Internet and the author’s own blog. It not only expands the scope of literary criticism, but also provides an opportunity for ordinary readers to directly talk to the author.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the readers' response to Yu Hua's novel "Brothers", explaining that because of the development of the Internet, the establishment of blogs, literary criticism has been combined with the popularization of personal opinions from the Internet, mainly from the way it is published in traditional newspapers and magazines. This establishes an extensive online platform for the free communication between ordinary readers, authors and professional literary critics, as well as their own opinions. Internet literary criticism breaks through the traditional literary criticism model that can be published in newspapers and magazines and dialogue with authors. This allows ordinary readers to directly participate in literary criticism without being constrained by the traditional literary criticism model. The interaction of literary criticism, which is shared by ordinary readers and authors and scholars, and the interaction between contemporary and traditional media, on the one hand, promotes the further discussion of the narrative style of Chinese novels, and on the other hand, it also promotes people's attention to the criticism of readers in the form of online.
