A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF CHINESE USED IN SRIPANWA AND ANANTARA VACATION CLUB, MAIKHAO BEACH PHUKET

Abstract

China has become the largest number of tourists to travel in Thailand, Phuket become the first destinations for Chinese tourists, so Phuket senior hotel provide Chinese services. With the rapid development of tourismThis research aims to analyze Chinese language services of Phuket hotels for Chinese tourists, relationship between Chinese tourist and Phuket hotels, Chinese language competencies of staff in two Phuket hotels as well as satisfaction levels of Chinese tourist, and finally summarize problem on Chinese language usage of those Hotels and proposed improvement measures. This research uses questionnaire and analysis on Chinese usage of staff. The findings show that the Chinese language skills of Anantara vacation club, Maikhao beach staff are better than Sripanwa hotel staff including listening, speaking, reading, writing as well as Cantonese language. In addition, there are differences on experiences of staff training. Chinese language staffs are not enough and uncertain Chinese language training.
