This academic paper aims to clarify the meaning of the Thai language, Thailand's cultural identity, and the connection between the Thai language and Thai culture. The application of translation procedures, grounded on translation concepts and theories, for cultural words from foreign languages into Thai is also highlighted in the essay. The writer aims to convey to readers the distinct qualities and allure of the Thai language, emphasizing the significance of translating foreign languages while taking into account the customs, heritage, and folklore of the original nation. Since English plays a major role in the dissemination of knowledge from Thailand to other nations and vice versa, accurate translation is essential for understanding. To provide high-quality translations, translators must comprehend how Thai culture and language interact. There are advantages and disadvantages to translating communication. Though it can also result in semantic inconsistencies, translation promotes the exchange of knowledge and the development of new vocabulary in the target language. Consequently, while selecting terms, translators need to carefully weigh the parallels and discrepancies between the source and target cultures. Also, the significance of translation in the practice of international relations work at Thai institutions is also covered in this article. Disseminating research, curriculum, disciplines, information, and Thai culture from Thai institutions to other universities and organizations is accomplished through translation. Therefore, accurate translation is crucial for effective cross-cultural communication. A competent translator needs to be a “cultural ambassador” who can faithfully and fully capture the tone and meaning of the source material.
