Abstract

The purpose of this research was to 1) develop the learning model method of teaching in mathematics course by integrating the concepts of contemplative education, research-based learning and coaching & mentoring system 2) study the results of learning management method of teaching in mathematics course which integrating the concepts of contemplative education, research-based learning and coaching & mentoring system. The subjects were 30 fourth year students of Faculty of Education, Chiangmai Rajabhat University who were enrolled Methods of Teaching in Mathematic in the first semester of academic year 2018. Research tools were 1) students' opinions surveys on learning management in Method of Teaching in Mathematics course which integrating the concepts of contemplative education, research-based learning and coaching & mentoring system 2) students' learning behavior reflection toward the method of Teaching in Mathematics course form 3) student’s learning log 4) teacher’s teaching log and 5) video recording of learning management. Data was analyzed using frequency, percentage and content analysis.
The results of the research were the following showed 1) curriculum development of Method of Teaching in Mathematics course by integrating the concepts of contemplative education, research-based learning and coaching & mentoring system develop the learning management model in 3 aspects: 1) preparation before teaching this is academic preparation, analysis of learners in knowledge, readiness before school and preparation of media and equipment 2) during the teaching use an active learning management model 3) after teaching, it reflects the results of learners and reflections from teachers including helping to promote teacher and promotes effective teacher 2) the overall learning management results were the most at appropriate level. The 100% score was found from the determination of purpose and learning design. The data reflecting on students’ learning behavior found that 100% of the students accepted the assessment results from classmate and teachers. Moreover, students were happy to study Method of Teaching in Mathematics course and there were no major problems or obstacles that affected the learning management process by integrating the concept of contemplative education, research-based learning and coaching & mentoring system.
